I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Sudbury School Committee.
My family and I have lived in Sudbury for the past 10 years. Both of my children went through Haynes Elementary School and my son is still in the district in 7th grade at Curtis, while my daughter is a freshman at LS. It was while serving on the PTO while my children were at Haynes that I began getting more involved on a town level and where my journey for running for school committee started.
I am a local business owner. Some of you may know of my company, Jam Time, a local indoor play and enrichment center for young children. Education, and specifically early childhood education, is deeply important to me and has been the driver of my career for these past 10 years. Together with my husband, we have grown Jam Time from a start-up in Maynard in 2010 to four busy locations in the Greater Boston area. Prior to living in Sudbury, I spent a decade acquiring management and negotiation skills: as a Hollywood producer I was responsible for film budgets, schedules, artists and directors.
Serving the community I love is deeply important to me. I am running for School Committee because I want to use my passion for education, my leadership skills and business acumen, and my collaborative nature to be the voice of Sudbury's children, parents, and taxpayers. I ask for your vote on March 29th.
